About Us
In 1979, The National Exchange Club embraced the prevention of child abuse as a national focus initiating the formation of the National Exchange Club Foundation for the Prevention of Child Abuse. In March of 1985, the Vicksburg Exchange Club with the collaboration of the Warren County Council for Child Advocacy inaugurated the Vicksburg Child Abuse Prevention Center. The CAP Center is a private, non-profit agency committed to preventing child abuse and neglect. The vision of the Center is one in which each child lives in a home that provides a nurturing environment and an elevated quality of family life in a community committed to promoting healthy families and preventing child abuse. Families in Warren and Claiborne Counties are assisted in developing healthy, non-violent parent child relationships and improve quality of life through a wide range of programs: Parent Aide Program, Parent Education, Court Appointed Special Advocates, Supervised Visitation Program, Multi-Disciplinary Team, Teen Pregnancy Prevention, Mentoring, and Drug/Violence Prevention Program.
